Known as "America's First Family of Birding," Don and Lillian Stokes have been the most trusted authorities and educators of birding information for more than 25 years. This husband and wife team are leading television personalities as well as best-selling birding authors. 

The Stokes created and hosted the first birdwatching TV shows on national television, with more than 40 million viewers tuning in to their PBS series "Stokes Birds at Home". Their newest series, "Bird Watching Workshop with Don and Lillian Stokes", is currently airing on the DIY (Do It Yourself) cable and satellite network. 

The Stokes have published 32 colorful, informative, user-friendly Stokes Field Guides and books, including Stokes Field Guide To Birds, selling more than four and a half million copies to date!

ewest venture is a quality line of binoculars called Stokes Birding Series, developed by Don and Lillian especially for birders. The Stokes Birding Series of optics will include a complete line of high, medium, and lower priced binoculars and scopes. The optics will be exceptionally sharp, bright, lightweight, waterproof, and close-focusing. Their first model, the "Stokes DLS" was just released and is available as 8 x 42 and 10 x 42. In June the mid-priced"Stokes Broadwing" and value priced "Stokes Talon" binoculars will be released. 


Don and Lillian Stokes appear often as guest columnists in the most reputable and popular birding magazines. They recently announced that they will be writing regularly in Birder's World magazine beginning in April 2005. 

Don and Lillian have committed themselves to the development of a complete line of bird feeders, bird seed products, and bird feeding accessories, called Stokes Select®, to help birdwatchers achieve the most successful bird feeding experience. A portion of the proceeds from Stokes Select products is donated to bird habitat and conservation. 

With endless enthusiasm, Don and Lillian Stokes travel the United States educating audiences through seminars, speaking events, store openings, book signings, environmental events, and more. 

Don and Lillian and their companion Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Daisy, live in New Hampshire on 45-acre Bobolink Farm, a nature preserve they've created that has attracted over 165 species of birds. In the winter months they live in Florida where they photograph and observe a wide variety of birds.
